Revenge? Do preseason scrimmages matter enough to call this a revenge game? Winning would be nice, though. The world champs have dropped all four of their preseason games, with the worst game of the bunch coming on Tuesday in Toronto.

On the second night of a back-to-back, coach Mike Brown rested his starters and the reserves suffered a 50-point beating. Kawhi Leonard (in his first game since rejoining the Raps) scored 21 points in 17 minutes. Scottie Barnes added 19 points, six rebounds and four assists. Collin Murray-Boyles dropped 19 and nine. RJ Barrett had 17. James Wiseman led New York with 18 points and 10 rebounds while the rest of the team struggled to stay in their shorts.

The takeaway? When Toronto plays its actual rotation and New York does not, the gap is wide.

Toronto is built with two-way versatility and physicality up front. With Leonard and Barnes on the wing, and Barrett and Immanuel Quickley in the backcourt, they have enough talent to be a problem. Jakob Poeltl anchors the paint and remains a serviceable center.

New York has spent the preseason evaluating depth pieces and managing minutes for the starters. Tonight will be the last dress rehearsal before they uncork their season on Tuesday. We assume that means the starters will play a little longer, as they get back into full game shape, and Mike Brown will use this time to get last looks at the guys hovering on the edge of the roster. Prediction? Another L to run the table, of course!
